Why would I want to think of relationships like investment strategies?
When it comes to relationships, it is easy to think that they should unfold naturally without any checks and balances in place. This is a major mistake that is typically rooted in the belief that the feeling of love is somehow enough of a building block for a healthy relationship.
By using the metaphor of investment psychology — I wanted to illustrate the importance of strategy, foresight and the balancing of risks and benefits when entering a new relationship. Irrespective of your base-line risk apetite.
